The lead guest needs to be 25 years or older on the day of arrival.
Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed unless accompanied by their parent/guardian.
Vaping or Smoking of any substance is prohibited ANYWHERE INDOORS or OUTDOORS.
Should it be found that this clause has been breached, the security bond will not be returned at the end of the rental period and will be used to pay for a deep clean on the apartment.
Blue Wind & Waves are designed as Family accommodation.
We are unable to accept stag and hen groups.
We also do not allow party groups in the apartments.
A maximum of 2 small dogs are permitted in Blue Waves – although no other types of pets/animals are allowed.
No puppies under 12 months old.
Dogs are accepted subject to a £30 per dog charge to cover extra cleaning.
Dogs must be pre-approved so please contact me before booking to confirm that they are permitted.
Dogs should not be should not be allowed on the furniture or left alone in the property.
Do not allow any fouling in the courtyard.
Failure to comply with any of the above will incur a £50 penalty.
Pets are NOT permitted in Blue Winds.
I will give you the full address, key code and wireless password 1 day before your stay. Provided the security deposit, ID, address and telephone number have all been received.
• Standard Check-in time is any time after 16:00.
• Departure is by 11:00.
We pride ourselves on making sure the apartment is spotlessly clean for your stay.
The period between 11:00 and 16:00 is to allow our housekeeper enough time to get the apartment ready for you after our previous guests have departed and are heading home.
We may be able to offer an early check-in or late check-out service.
However, this is obviously dependant upon other guests arrival/departure times.
To reserve the apartment for early check-in or late checkout, there will be a charge of approximately 50% of the standard daily rate.
Please discuss with us before booking.
Check out after 11:00 (unless pre-arranged) will be charged £50 late check out fee and it will be deducted from the damages deposit.
You will be given my mobile telephone number so that you can contact us to solve any issues that may arise with the apartment.
I can’t be held liable for third party’s responsibilities or breakdown of 3rd party equipment (Wi-Fi), I will of course do my upmost to resolve the problem asap.
BLUE WAVES – Dogs are permitted in Blue Waves, so if you have pet allergies then the apartment is probably not for you.
BLUE WINDS – We no longer allow dogs in this apartment but have in the past. The apartment has been thoroughly cleaned, but we cannot guarantee that it is free of fur and dander.
BOTH APARTMENTS – Our duvets and pillows are feather although we can provide non feather duvets and pillows if required.
Our preferred method of payment is by Bank Transfer.
A deposit of £100 is required – and that’s it, you’re booked.
The balance and damage deposit is due 60 days prior to arrival.
If you book less than ten weeks prior to your arrival date you will be required to pay the full balance.
Yes we can accept card payments using your credit or debit card via our online booking system.
When you use our online booking system you card details are held securely.
Our prices are based on occupancy (i.e. per person) and include:

• Cleaning prior to arrival
• Free Unlimited Wi-Fi
• Free Netflix
• Free Alexa with unlimited music (Blue Winds ONLY)
Yes, one set of linen and towels is provided per stay.
Please make sure you make me aware if you need a sofa bed making up (2 people wanting separate beds for example.)
We always assume 2 people are sharing a bed, 4 people sharing 2 beds.
Additional linen and towels are available at an additional cost if required.
The cleaning charge covers cleaning of bedding and towels.
We ask guests to leave the property in the same condition as when you found it.
Bins should be emptied and all rubbish taken out.
All dishes washed and put away – or be in the dishwasher on a cleaning cycle.
Any excessive cleaning required will be charged at £15 per hour.
We are just a few minutes from the high speed Red Jet coming from Southampton if you are coming over by foot into West Cowes.
If you are bringing a car then Red Funnel comes into East Cowes and from there you can come on the floating bridge. However. please check that it is operating.
Of course you can also come via Wightlink which is my preferred route. Feel free to contact me for any questions regarding ferries.
There is also a frequent bus service going from Park Road if needed – a 30 second walk to the bus stop from the apartment.
There is no parking on the property.
There is parking though to unload your vehicle when you first arrive right next to the flat.
You can purchase council car park permits and if you are off sightseeing then they are valid around the whole Island and there is one just 3 mins walk from the apartment.
There are no facilities at either apartment to charge electric cars, and for safety and insurance purposes, no charging of electric cars is allowed on the property, or in the road outside the house.
There a number of charging stations in Cowes and on the Isle of Wight.

Yes – Free Unlimited Wi-Fi
This is provided by a 3rd party using a fibre optic and offers speeds of up to 50 Mbits.
We cannot offer a guarantee that it will be operational 24*7.
There is a washing machine in the kitchen.
Plus there is an ironing board and iron.
You will find some washing tablets in the kitchen – enough for a couple of washes.
We provide tea coffee and sugar.
You’ll also find food basics like salt, pepper, oil.
There will be enough toilet rolls in the bathroom, plus kitchen roll, washing
up liquid, basic cleaning supplies, and washing up sponge etc in the kitchen.
There is also liquid hand soap, shampoo and body wash in the bathroom.
BLUE WAVES is on the ground floor.
There is a small step into the apartment at the front door.
There is also a high step to enter the kitchen.
Doors are standard width.
There is a shower cubicle but there are 2 steps to get up into the shower area.
BLUE WINDS is on the 1st floor – and is split over 3 floors.
We have a cot and a high chair available.
However, these needs to be booked in advance as they are shared between the apartments.
Inside the apartment between floors, there are steep and narrow steps.
If you are coming with young children I can put a stair gate at the bottom of them.
If you are upstairs enjoying the view then there is a hatch you can put down, just be careful of your fingers as it is heavy.
The Isle of Wight has many natural attractions and places to visit.

Bikes can be rented from twoelements.co.uk who are based in Cowes.
You can book online and collect from their shop – which is on Bath Road and less than 3 minutes walk away – or they will deliver to the apartment.
They also hire SUPs (Stand-Up Paddleboards).
PLEASE NOTE: No bikes of any type inside the apartments.
However, BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT, we may be able to provide outdoor storage but this must be booked in advance of your holiday.
West Cowes is a lively town with many good restaurants and bars with plenty of shops ranging from clothing like White stuff, Joules and Musto and many independent boutique stores to nautical souvenir’s and ice cream shops. There is something for everyone to enjoy!!
M&S and Sainsbury’s are located in the High Street.
Please check online for opening hours as these can fluctuate depending on the time of year.
There is also a Co-Op at 155 Mill Hill Rd, Cowes PO31 7EL, which tends to be open later.
