Tapnell Farm Park – Jumping Pillow
Children's Activities
There are so many different children’s activities on the Island you are spoilt for choice!
Here are a few of our favourite for my 2 girls.
Tapnell Park Farm https://tapnellfarm.com/play/tapnell-farm-park
My absolute favourite is Tapnell Farm Park over in Yarmouth. This is because it never feels crowded, its right out in nature with the sea in the background so lots of amazing sea air and lots of energetic activities for the kids like zip lining, go karts, hay barrels, trampoline, mini golf and there’s these cool giant pillows to bounce on and even some animals thrown in for good measure! There is a great restaurant there for the adults and its guaranteed your kids will be exhausted by the end of the day there. They also have opened up a new water park this summer although we haven’t been yet, but it looks amazing.
Black Gang Chine https://blackgangchine.com/
The next great place we love is Black Gang Chine. Again I personally like it here due to its location right next to the sea so some beautiful views here. However it does get very busy here but my girls don’t mind of course. They have different areas to visit with different themes from Snakes and Ladders, to a Western Cowboys area, an underwater theme, dinosaurs, fairies, you name it it’s all there waiting to be explored.
Robin Hill https://robin-hill.com/
In partnership to Black gang chine is Robin Hill and you can buy a joint ticket for both. Entrance is unlimited for both places for 7 days last time we went. I can’t comment on Robin Hill though as my girls are still small at 5½ and 7 and from what I’ve heard it’s better for the bigger kids.
Butterfly World https://butterflyworldiow.com/
There is also Butterfly World that we go to, its small and cute and you also get Fountain World there also. Again, you can return a 2nd time within 7 days last time we were there. Its also right next to a garden centre so I usually pop in for my own fun after 🙂
If we are not at adventure play parks we are at the beach – or one of our can’t be missed activities is to go crabbing off Cowes promenade. There’s plenty of spots and if you’re lucky you get to see the RNLI coastguard go out on a shout! Please set the crabs free at the end of the day though as no animals allowed in the holiday homes 😉
There are so many different things for kids on the Island but these are the ones we go to most times we come to the apartment. The Isle of Wight Guru website has more suggestions as really the list is huge.
